One cup of sliced mango contains 1262 IU of vitamin A, which is more than 25 of the recommended daily value. More than 75 percent of the daily value of vitamin C is provided with 46 mg in one cup. Mangoes are a poor source of vitamins B and E.


One cup of sliced mango provides 257 mg potassium, 16 mg calcium, 18 mg phosphorus, 15 mg magnesium, 0.2 mg iron and 0.07 mg zinc.

  • Fresh mango is a good source of potassium. 100 g fruit provides 156 mg of potassium while just 2 mg of sodium. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps controlling heart rate and blood pressure.
  • It is also a very good source of vitamin-B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin-C and vitamin-E.
